Granny Square Hat Class
Sunday, March 22
12:30 – 3:30 pm at INUA Wool Shoppe
Cost: $20 plus materials
Instructor: Anne M. Castle
Limited to 10 students
Granny squares are usually square motifs crocheted in rounds working from the center outwards. The traditional one is a double-crocheted square made with a series of chains and double-crocheted blocks. Although particular color and pattern schemes for granny squares change with time, this class of motif is a staple among crocheters. Multicolor granny squares are an effective way to use up small amounts of yarn left over from other projects and basic granny square motifs do not require advanced skills to execute.
In this class you will learn how to make a Slouchy Granny Square Hat.
For Class bring:
· Bulky weight yarn (at least two colors) totalling about 200 yards
· Crochet hooks, range of sizes J through N
· Glasses, if needed
· A pen and notebook, optional
Basic crochet knowledge required. Bring a willingness to learn. Ability to read English is helpful.
